The Bible teaches in Proverbs 22:6 that parents should "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"! Baby and child dedications are for the parents that recognize that children are a gift from God, as Psalm 127:3 says, and want to publicly pledge to raise their children the Lord's way!
