A Fruitfull Life - Part 2

Part 2 - In Matthew 13:1-15 we discover the context in which Jesus taught the parable of the sower. In Jesus' day, it was a common practice when large crowds came together that a speaker would stand by the water or sit in a boat and teach the people on shore. In this passage, Jesus teaches the parable of the sower and answers the question of the disciples as to why He taught them in parables. God's desire is that every person live a 100-fold life, but this does not mean it will automatically come to pass; we have a part to play. The level of attention that we give to God's Word determines our level of harvest.
